Abandoned Goods Policy
- The customer will have a grace period of 7 calendar days to pick up their purchased goods, unless the customer agreed with us otherwise. If no agreement was in place, after 7 calendar days and the collection did not happen, from the 8th day, we would start to charge £10 per day for storage fees. After 30 days have passed from that point, we would sell the goods for scrap value and if this would not cover our storage fees, we would start recovery action for the remainder of the outstanding balance.
- Within our policies, the term "abandoned goods" refers to items for which the owner has shown no signs of retrieving within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that we do not accept any items that have been forcibly left in our possession, and we cannot assume liability for any items left on our counters by customers. The sole exception is if we issued the memo paper to our customer which confirms that we accepted the goods.
- If the items are left forcibly on our counters, we do not take any responsibility for these items. We will seal them with the date and time, and save the camera footage. After 30 days, we will transfer them to a local Lost and Found at a police station.
- Should the customer fail to retrieve the designated 30-day period but will appear later, we will charge this customer £10 per day from day one for storage fees for 30 days, as well for the transfer to Lost And Found. After all fees are cleared by the customer, we will disclose full information and references for the customer to collect their belongings from the police. It is important to note that charges will begin from the day the goods were left on our counter by force, for the avoidance of doubt.
